Deepest thanks, and best wishes for a fabulous 2012!

January 2, 2012

THANK YOU!!  YOU MADE THIS HAPPEN!!!

Dearest friends and supporters,

Every New Years on the Iberian peninsula, as this clock you see pictured strikes twelve, Spaniards gulp one grape per clock strike and then promptly call their moms, if not already celebrating with them.  I’d like to “call out” each one of you for helping give birth to The Doors Project, and thank you for your deep belief and support that made 2011 such an incredible year.

Wishing you a healthy, happy 2012 filled with love, abundance, and art.  May all your dreams and doors swing open…

Pictured above: Here is the life-sized doorframe on wheels we pushed through Madrid with architects and activists Loreto Ares, Miguel “Melo” Quintana, Joan Taipo-San, myself, and José Luís Cano Blanco. We unfurled this “Tú Aquí” sign as we arrived in La Puerta del Sol, whose iconic clocktower you see framed in our doorway 🙂 (Photos by Cecilia Ruiloba and José Jerónimo Sánchez; props to Cristhian Salazar for the sign, Cecilia, José Jerónimo, and the other members of our team in Madrid who helped design and build this doorway: Beatriz Velasco, Natalia Sánchez-Ton I Normand, and Jesús Escobar). More doors coming soon…
