Our freedom to vote is in danger of demise. Why isn’t your Senator talking about this every day? The stakes couldn’t be any higher—record numbers of anti-voting laws got proposed and passed this year. A violent mob broke Capitol barricades and tried to overturn an election. The Supreme Court majority’s been bought by the Federalist Society, so now our very last hope is the People’s House, our Legislature of Senators and Representatives. It’s not enough for your Senator to come out in favor, planting lip service for voting rights. If we want our democracy to see another day and live to tell it, the wildly popular Freedom to Vote Act—critical legislation for the future of our democracy—needs to make it past the Jim Crow factions stonewalling it from even getting to debate on the Senate Floor.
We need to shift the debate.
Democracy only works if you activate it.
